Our story
Twenty years of natural gelato, selected producers, and national recognition. The same passion as the very first day.
“Gelato is a living food. It is born from the earth, respects the seasons, and speaks of a place. My work is not to ruin it.”
Dario Rossi opens GREED on 24 January 2004 in Rome’s Tuscolano neighbourhood, alongside his mother. Outside, snow is falling — a rarity for Rome — as if to mark the beginning of something lasting.
The choice is clear from the very first day: no additives, no industrial semi-finished products. Only real ingredients, selected with care, worked with respect. A gelato that tastes of what it is.
Over time, research leads Dario into uncharted territory: gastronomic gelato, inspired by the great cuisine of Rome and Lazio. A quiet revolution that will bring GREED to the most important stages of Italian gastronomy.

“Long before it became a trade, gelato was a way of telling stories. Stories of ingredients, of traditions and of people. Stories that begin in a laboratory and end in a smile.”
